On its inaugural day in 2002, the concerts kicked off with the magical harmony produced through the work of the leading maestro Shlomo Mintz. The great genius of this creator also produced the Mendelssohn violin festival. His Beethoven Symphony # 7 incurred a standing ovation. There were several other performers and not to mention, the likes of Gustavo Romero and “Music Viva” director David Ehrlich.

Among the performers there was Emira Darvarova who was the co-concertmaster of the NY Metropolitan Orchestra. The festival has always had a strong performance list. The 2005 Season was a result of the joint effort of ASU School of Music that held some concerts as well as classes. Native American flutist R.Carlos Nakai led an immensely transcending performances at all the sold-out venues.

The University of Arizona is located in the city of Tucson, Arizona; the second largest city in the state after Phoenix. It is the first university in the state of Arizona being founded in 1885. Apart from research and higher education, the university also includes the only medical school in the state. The enrollment in 2006 was around 37,000 students.

The Lost Dutchman State Park, Arizona
Located in the Sonoran Desert the Lost Dutchman State Park is located 2,000 feet above the sea level. The park presents a number of campsites, hiking trails, picnic facilities, nature trails, and special programs all through the year. Since the winters are mild and the Valley of the Sun is nearby this becomes an ideal destination for many. Daytime temperatures more often than not reach about 60° F for the duration of the winter, whereas during the summer month’s temperatures can rise well above 100° F.
There is a great legend of a gold miner surrounding this place and it is after him whom the place has been named after. Presently there are a number of events happening at the park such as:

The Arizona Cardinals is the oldest of the professional American football teams, operating in the USA. They are based in Arizona, Glendale and just outside Phoenix. Currently, the team is a member of the West Division of the NFC (National Football Conference) in the NFL (National Football League). Started in the year 1920, the team tasted its last NFL championship in the year 1947. By the year 1988, the Cardinals moves from St.Louis, Missouri to Arizona. After spending 17 years at Sun Devil Stadium, Tampe, the club is playing all games at University of Phoenix Stadium, Glendale.

Starting from Paddy Driscoll (1920 - 1922) to Ken Whisenhunt (2007 to present), more than 36 Head coaches served the team so far. The 2008 Arizona Cardinals season is the team’s 21st season in Arizona, and 89th season in the NFL. There are expectations that the Cardinals will improve their 8-8 record from 2007. The Head coach is entering his second year, after he took charge.

ESPN Radio 860 is the Arizona Cardinals’ official radio station, which is famously known as KMVP. Paul Calvisi, Ron Wolfley and Dave Pasch are handling the broadcast. Most of the preseason games are broadcasted on telivision on channel 15, KNXV, a local ABC affiliate. Bill Lewis and Mike Goldberg are the official TV announcers. When the 2007 season was held, KTAR - ARM was the official chief station.

This Jazz on the Rocks festival in Sedona is organized by Sedona Jazz on the Rocks Inc. This is a non profit organization. Their main goal is to provide more opportunities to the young talents of jazz music to develop their talents and show it to the jazz fans. Through this events they are bringing in the best performers of the jazz music to one of the most beautiful places in America. There are some well known musicians and legends among the performers, also some upcoming talents. They are celebrating jazz through education and performance.

This festival is a six day event. It will begin with the documentary named Trying to Get Good: The Jazz Odyssey of Jack Sheldon. This documentary takes a look deep into the soul of a jazz musician who is trying to change his life and make it better just like his music.

You can enjoy a great dinner, a glass of wine and dance with some great music in the dinner and dance party.

Rob Carey, Susannah Martin, Steve Sander, Steve Douglas and Kevin McQuid will be performing in a live concert. This event will be free for everyone.

The festival will end with a Sunday brunch and a Jeff Baker concert

There was an ancient farming community called Hohokam. Hohokam community had very sophisticated culture. They had an exceptional irrigation system that helped them to master the desert. This village was located at the heart of a big agricultural society of the past. Casa Grande Ruins is the preserve of this community’s village and a house. It became a national monument in 1918

Casa Grande lies in the Sonoran desert, which is in the Southern Arizona. It is the first prehistoric site that is established in the country. Initially it had an area of 480 acres. Later it was reduced to 472.5 acres. There were some controversy about the name of the monument. Finally in 1918 it was set to Casa Grande National Monument.

Casa Grande is a four storied building. It is like a castle. It is as big as the largest church of Sonora. There are thirteen smaller houses around this and many other ruins of houses. These are evidence that there was a village here in the past. Later there were some more similar houses found in the surrounding areas. They also found some jars, charcoal and other items. These were probably the items used by the people of these villages.

Villa Thai Cuisine opened in 2006. Villa Jarrell is the person behind the idea and initiative. Thai cuisine is not very familiar to the people of Tucson. So the location was important initially to see if the people really like the food or not. She picked the perfect spot to attract a diverse crowd that are educated and independent. With a great menu of delicious food and courteous hosts they got the attention very quickly.

The people who there are very friendly and give you a warm welcome every time you visit. Not only the servers, but the owner goes to each table and make the customers feel at home.

They have a long menu, plenty of options to choose from. Variety of wines and Asian beer if you want to try it. Some of the wines are special for the restaurant, others change from time to time. They use all fresh ingredients for their food which makes the food more delicious. They have expert chefs and they can change the dishes slightly if you ask them to do so. Thai food is normally spicy. If you don’t like spicy food, they can change it to your taste.

This can be your only chance to go to space. In this mission you will have your own flight crews, scientists and mission controllers. Th kids who are in grade two or younger, will have to wait, because this is for people older than that. That’s it. You don’t need any special skills or anything else to enjoy this one of kind simulated space flight mission. If you want to be a part of it, you just need to call the Challenger Space Centre and let them know you want to reserve a spot. You have to keep your Saturday morning open, because that is when the mission takes place. And a few dollars of change to enjoy this fun event.

This is a fun event for everyone in the family. You can go with a group of friends or coworkers. The flight deck that is used for the simulation has cost more than a million dollars to build. You will feel like you are in a real cockpit.

In this journey you will be face to face with comet Encke, you and your crew will undertake some scientific mission here. You will be also the first crew on Mars. It will be an engaging and delightful experience. Not the type of thing we do everyday.
