National Day of The Cowboy

National Day of The Cowboy

Do you know the difference between country music and cowboy music? If you thought they are the same thing, this is your chance to visit he city park on the national day of cowboy to listen to some real cowboy music. Lyrics are written by cowboys and they sing it as well.

Cowboys and cowgirls have contributed a lot in American culture. This is the day when Americans celebrate and show their appreciation to their contribution. Even the American president has said that the love that cowboys and cowgirls show for their country, it is an example for all Americans. The main purpose of the whole National Day celebration is to share the history and heritage of the cowboys. Education, rodeos, arts, gathering and community activities can help preserve the memory and grow awareness and appreciation.

In this event in city park this September, besides listening some real cowboy music you will hear some cowboy poetry. Cowboy artists will present their crafts while vendors will bring in lots of goodies.

No matter how much is said about the cowboy music, you is never enough. No matter who is presenting a song, the lyrics seems to change with even slightly with every performance. You can always expect something different and little twist here and there when listening to them.

Houston Rodeo is the largest event to celebrate the cow boy culture of America. I have been to it many times. Now i have to visit the arizona events to make some comparison.
