Basketball is arguably the most popular game in US. NBA without a doubt the most popular basketball league in the entire world. Phoenix Suns is the professional basketball team that represents Arizona in this famous league. They are in the Pacific Division of the western conference. They started playing in 1968. Since they have been quite successful. In the last forty years at least seventeen times they had fifty win seasons. Even though they went to the finals of NBA two times, they never won the title.

Since 1992 the US Airways Centre has been the teams home ground. It is in downtown Phoenix. 1993 was a turning point in the Phoenix Sun’s history as Barkley was traded in to join the team. Barkley won the Most Valuable Player award in his first year with Suns. They have many great records for the team when Barkley, Johnson, Majerle and Ainge was playing for the team. They won sixty two games that year. Beta Lakers in the playoffs coming from deficit.

Last season Phoenix Suns finished second in the western Conference. This year in June Terry Potter has been appointed as the new coach. They will begin their journey this season on October 8th.
